Larry Borowsky, 44, grew up in St. Louis and is a lifelong Cardinals fan. A former editor at Westword (Denver's alternative newsweekly) and former back-page columnist for 5280 magazine (Denver's cityzine), Borowsky has freelanced for such publications as Sunset, Aspen Magazine, and the Denver Post. His baseball writing has appeared at Slate.com, WSJ.com, Deadspin.com, the Hardball Times, and the Riverfront Times. Borowsky wrote the foreword to Diehard Cards, a recap of the Cardinals' 2006 World Championship.
