She was previously the Product Team Lead at Zillow.com, in charge of the teams that develop Zillow's local advertising and email marketing products for home buyers, sellers, owners and real estate professionals. Prior to joining Zillow in mid-2007, Vanessa was product manager for Google Webmaster Central, where she built tools to help site owners learn more about their sites in the Google index.

Stephan is the founder and president of Netconcepts, a web agency that specializes in search engine optimized e-commerce, as well as email marketing through its GravityMail division.Clients include Discovery Channel, REI,Home Shopping Network, AOL, and SuperPages.com, to name a few. Stephan is a frequent speaker at Internet conferences around the globe for organizations such as the DMA, the AMA, Shop.org, SMX, JupiterMedia/IncisiveMedia (Search Engine Strategies), Internet World, IQPC and IIR.

Steve cofounded Thunder Lizard Productions, (a technology event production company) in 1991, which became a subsidiary of Fawcette Technical Publications in 2000. He also produced TLP's Web Design World, and Macromedia Web World whose attendees number in the thousands. Prior to his work with Avondale and Thunder Lizard, he taught Windows and Macintosh applications classes at the University of Washington, and is featured in over 40 instructional video titles.
