Retired US military officer, IT executive, a military blogger and author of "The Blog of War". Started “Blackfive” blog in memory of a US military friend (Mat Schram) killed while trying to get supplies to field soldiers in Iraq. While under attack, Mat diverted attention from a MSM reporter's vehicle, and the reporter escaped the scene, yet never wrote about the hero that was responsible for his survival. Blackfive has become one of the most read milblogs on the web.
